highest mountain of Zhumadian –Baiyun Mt.
Baiyun Mt.locates 72km
far away from the northeast of Biyang County. It’s
983 meter height above sea level and the highest mountain of
Zhumadian. In its northing , it’s
the source of Sha river .It flows to the west to the Changjiang
River .So it’s
called a mountain with two rivers . There are often some cloud and
mist sur-rounding the apices . So it had marvelous spectacle of
Baiyun Mt.just looking like drawing on a cap. Since ancient time
,there is a proverb:“Baiyun
Mt. drawing on a cap is a foreboding of raining .”
Baiyun Mt.is also
famous for waterfall and grotto.
7、Taoist’s
Holy Land-Laole Mt.
Laole
Mt. lies 10km far away from the northwest of Queshan County. It
makes up of nine hills.
In
the northside of the Mt. , it is a tiger cavity. W hen the wind
blows the pinasters,you can hear the roaring just like a tiger. So
it has the name tiger cavity.Frontage is whirlabout road which has
eighteen crooks. On the peak there is a pond of fountain,sweet and
never drying up. Because of it looks like a toad, it is called
“Toad pond”. There are
grandness Zhenwu temple、Xuantan
temple、Baitai
palace 、Xuandu
palace on the Mt..Every spring thousands of
people come here to worship the gods of Taoist.
8、1000-year-old
Temple-Beiquan Temple
Beiquan
Temple lies 10km far away from the northwest of Queshan
County.First built in Northern Qi Dynasty,1400 years old from
today. It was first named Shufo Temple,renamed Zifu Buddhist
Temple in Tang Dynasty. Then obliged Wanshou Buddhist Temple in
Song Dynasty of the emperor Huizong. I t’s
one of
the famousest temple in Yunan.
There
has a cypress of Tang
Dynasty, also has a 1000-year-old gingkgo. Though it has undergoed
thunder bolt and trunk is hollow, I t’s
still flourishing. Because of
its huge trunk ,it needs several people to hold . There is
a Divinatory Symbols Pond, never drying up .Lugong memorial temple
is also in it ,for the sake of
memoring YanZhenqing, a famous calligrapher of Tang Dynasty
killed by a traitor-Lixilie, died under the gingkogo.
9、“Little
Yanan ”-Zhugou
Revolutionary Memorial
Zhugou
Revolutionary Memorial lies to the west of Queshan County 32 km
for away. In1939 , it was the site of the headquarters of the
Central Plains Bureau of the
Central Committee of the
Chinese Communist Party LiuShaoqi once commanded the
anti-Japanese battle here. Many revolutionaries such as LiXiannian、PengXuefeng、Zhangzhen、WangGuohua
and the noted historian FanWenlan、economist
FeiJihua all worked in this area. It was called “Little
Yanan ”
“Little
Shanbei” . The memorial
has 30 rooms and 31 cultural relics. Our admiring Premier
ZhouEnlai inscripted “Zhugou Revolutionary Memorial”. North to
the memorial is Revolutionary Cemetery.
10、Anti-
Japanese national hero General YangJingyu’s
Memorial 、former
residence
General
YangJingyu’s
Memorial lies to the south of Zhumadian 5km far away,abuting
the national
road 107. Built in January 16, 1995. JiangZemin inscripted the
memorial’s
name. General YangJingyu’s
residence –Liwan village lies to the north of Queshan County
15km for away.Behind the former residence memorial’s
door is “Demotic
Hero General YangJingyu’s
Residence Memorial.”
